Aldburg in the Eastfold was the home of Eorl the Young and the seat of the Kings of Rohan before Edoras was raised. Our Aldburg is one of the largest towns on the server — a dense weave of halls, stables, smithies and steep thatched streets climbing the hillside.
Begun in spring 2021, it has passed through several major reworks, including a celebrated shader-lit showcase in 2022. The build log below follows its growth from first blockout to the sprawling town it is today.
The hillside is terraformed and the first halls laid out. Aldburg's footprint is staked across the slope.
